New Delhi – The Delhi Police have taken a 32‑year‑old man into custody in connection with a rape allegation filed by a 43‑year‑old woman from the Keshav Puram locality. The individual, named Vikas, resides in the Tri Nagar area of the capital.

Alleged Lure Under the Pretext of an Eye Examination

The victim contends that Vikas invited her to his home claiming he would conduct an eye check‑up. Once she arrived, she says she was rendered unconscious and subsequently subjected to sexual assault.

FIR Filed on the Basis of the Complaint

Following the woman’s statement, officers at Keshav Puram Police Station lodged an FIR under the applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code and launched a formal investigation. The suspect was apprehended shortly thereafter.

Ongoing Investigation and Evidence Collection

Police officials emphasized that the case is under active investigation, with forensic teams gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Further legal action will be determined based on the results of the inquiry.
